Here are some questions we often receive:

  • Where is the retreat located at exactly?
  • Location varies but will be held in the Limon Province of Costa Rica, all details are emailed once booking process has began including transportation options to and from airport as well as to the retreats location.                                                           
  • What if I have allergies?
  • If you have allergies of any sort, please send me a detailed email with your concerns and we will gladly accommodate to your needs to the best that we can, free of charge. Please be mindful that your email is not regarding food preference but for allergies only.

 

  • Do you offer payment plans?
  • No, at this time we do not have payment options.                                      
  • What are the conduct policies?
  • We are a drug and alcohol free facility and tolerate no illegal activities, as well as showing respect to the natural environment around us especially to  living animals of all kinds, they are to be left in their natural habitats unbothered.                                               
  • What sleeping accommodations are available?
  • We offer shared bedrooms with separate sleeping spaces, as well as options for outdoor camping for a more natural feel.                                     
  • Are Tips included or mandatory?
  • No tips are not included in your retreat price, and no they are not mandatory but we gladly accept tips and donations to help keep our Retreats running more efficiently ensuring we can help provide for your needs as best as we can.                                      
  • Do I have to be vegan to join a retreat?
  • No you do not need to be vegan or Plant-based to join our Retreats, simply come as you are with an open mind and open heart to try all the wonderful things that Uprooted Retreats have to offer.                               
  • Are children allowed?
  • Normally the answer is no children allowed, especially with Uprooted Retreats being 21 and over, however we understand life and situations may happen, we are very understanding and flexible, if you have a baby or infant between the ages of 1-4 that you may need to bring on this trip please send me a detailed email so we can accommodate appropriately.

Cancellation Policy

Full Payment is due at booking, No partial payments, as we do not ask for deposits for your trip. We do not offer any refunds as the funds are utilized to help us secure spots, and contribute to the Retreats cost of goods and food. We also do not offer refunds for emergency cancellations, if you find yourself needing to cancel your trip, your funds will be credited and saved for a later date of choice to be used for a different retreat option. We strongly advise obtaining Travelers Insurance for your trip such as with Trawick International, Seven Corners, or WorldTrips, these are just a few options for you to research on, please do your own thorough research on which travel company works best for you personally, these options are only provided for suggestions not mandatory. 2. PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK

"You agree to assume all risks associated with your participation in the retreat activities and acknowledge that such activities may involve risks that could lead to injury, permanent harm or death. Participants are responsible for their own physical, mental, emotional well being and actions during the retreat. Participants should be aware that there are risks that may not have been considered.

 

3. RELEASE OF LIABILITY

"You hereby release and discharge The Host and any teachers, employees, guides, agents or representatives from any and all liability, claims, and causes of action, which arise or hereafter arise or are in any way connected to your involvement in the retreat." "This release includes, but is not limited to, liability for bodily injury, personal injury, illness, death or property damage, whether caused by the negligence of The Host or otherwise."

 

4. FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY FOR MEDICAL EXPENSES

"Participants are financially responsible for any costs incurred as a result of medical treatment sought during or after the retreat. Participants should carry their own health insurance."

 

5. BEHAVIORAL EXPECTATIONS AND RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE

"You agree to be mindful and respectful of other participants, instructors, and facilitators during the retreat." The Host reserves the right to refuse or terminate services to any individual whose behavior is deemed disruptive, offensive or unsafe."

 

6. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND PRIVACY

"All conversations and discussions during workshops or other retreat activities are to remain private and confidential." "Participants agree to not infringe copyrights, trademarks, service marks, or any other intellectual property rights associated with the retreat organizer."
